Embarking on a home or business construction project? Below are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about our waste removal and dumpster services:
What size dumpsters do you offer?
At Griffin Waste Services, we rent 10-yard units in Nashville, Franklin, Brentwood, and College Grove, TN and the surrounding towns. Our open-top, roll-off bins feature a gate on one end. The bins measure 12 feet long by 8 feet wide by 4 feet tall and have a capacity of four tons.
What do you charge and how long can I keep the container?
Dumpster prices include tax, delivery and pickup and vary based on address, with rates for the Nashville area starting at $349. All prices are for a seven-day rental period. Additional days cost $12 each or $60 per week for up to 30 days. If you require a second dumpster, a driver will pick up your full container and replace it with an empty one after charging you the base rate again.
What payment methods do you accept?
For our customers’ convenience, we accept cash, checks and credit cards upon delivery. Note that drivers do not carry change. Extra-time charges will be calculated at the time of pickup.
What kinds of materials can I place in your containers?
The following items are not permitted in our dumpsters: Refrigerators, tires, liquids, paints, oils, antifreeze, wet concrete, tube TVs and batteries. We accept only two electronic items per bin. Note that you may need to make special arrangements for the disposal of heavy items such as concrete, rocks, dirt and shingles. The weight limit on our bins is four tons.
How high above the rim may I fill the dumpster?
We specialize in small dumpster rentals in Nashville, TN. Because the drivers must tarp the containers at the time of pickup, customers must ensure that all waste materials fit completely inside the bin. Any items that do not fit in the dumpster will be removed by the driver and left on site.
When will you come to pick up the dumpster? Do I have to call you?
Customers can choose a pickup date when they place their order or opt to call us when they are ready for a dumpster removal or swap. Note that there is a $50 charge for a truck to return at a later time or date should you refuse a pickup on the date previously arranged. Please contact us one day prior to the specified pickup date if you need to arrange for a new date or time.
Where will you place the dumpster on my property or job site?
Customers are responsible for providing instructions about where a dumpster should be placed on their property. Depending on the site in question, you may opt to place plywood down to protect your yard or driveway. Please note that we are not responsible for damage to grass. Additionally, some cities have ordinances regarding the placement of dumpsters on roadways. For the best results, contact your town about obtaining the required permits before the delivery day.
Do I have to be present for delivery?
You don’t have to be present for pickup or delivery provided that you’re paying with a credit card and there are no obstacles to prevent the driver from delivering or retrieving the dumpster. Note that the driver must obtain payment before completing your delivery.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST. We are closed weekends and some holidays.
